The World Ends With You Makes An Appearance In Anime Expo Art

Lots of events have been cancelled due to the pandemic, including Anime Expo. To make up for it, events have moved to the Internet to showcase and share within the confines of home. Anime Expo Lite will arrive online from July 3rd to July 4th of 2020. The official twitter also proudly announced its key art collaboration with The World Ends With You.

Here’s a close up:

The picture depicts characters’ Neku, Shiki, Joshua, Beat, and Rhyme riding off the 104 building within Shibuya. 2020 appears as graffiti under them. A observant viewer might also notice Ai and Xeno, both Anime Expo characters. The official website stated that it was originally intended to be used as the Expo’s 2020 program guide cover.

There have been subtle nods pointing to the fact that other events will happen in The World Ends With You, with the Solo Remix and Final Remix event finally introducing a new character and hinting at more to come. However, there haven’t been any announcements from Square Enix since its Nintendo Switch release.

The World Ends With You is already available on the Nintendo DS, Switch, as well as Android and Apple iOS devices.
