According to Japanese Bandai Namco’s website, a new job listing has been posted in search of a Localization Director for their MMORPG, Blue Protocol. We can only speculate that this means that an English release of the game could be planned in the near future. The job specifically states that the ideal candidate should have strong English language skills and would have studied or worked outside of Japan while also having worked on localization projects in the past. The person hired would most likely be involved with the game’s UI, cutscenes, text, and other balancing cultural differences for other regions.
That being said, this does not confirm that the game will have an English release. It could also mean that an Asian English version of Blue Protocol could be announced. However, it should be noted that the job description asks that they want someone who has worked on worldwide releases in the past.
Blue Protocol is an MMORPG that allows players to explore a world filled with ruins of past civilization. While searching these ancient areas, you will battle monsters and learn about the past of the world. The character creation is very anime-styled oriented.
The game is currently in development for PC. It had a closed alpha back in July 2019.
